Prevalence of dysphonia in the West of Scotland cleft population. Associations with cleft type, velo-pharyngeal dysfunction and socio-economic deprivation

      Cleft speech issues including velo-pharyngeal dysfunction (VPD) and articulation errors are well recognised and researched. In contrast voice issues (dysphonias) have received much less attention. This study describes the extent of the problem in the West of Scotland cleft population and investigates potential causal associations.
