Introduction: Currently, there are no standardised national protocols for the management of human
bite injuries in England and Wales. Human bite injuries are both deceptive and challenging
in their presentation to the examining physician. Variation in their initial management
when they present to emergency departments throughout England and Wales will be discussed
in this paper.
