Effect of civil unrest on the incidence of maxillofacial injuries—experience in the treatment of the maxillofacial region in the Kingdom of Bahrain from February 14, 2011

      The civil unrest in the Kingdom of Bahrain since February 14, 2011 has led to the escalation of violence and numerous incidents of confrontation between security forces, protesters/rioters and bystanders. Our team was involved in treatment of all maxillofacial injuries during the unrest period; which includes protesters/rioters, law enforcement officers, expatriates and bystanders in both the Royal Medical Services of the Bahrain Defence Force (RMS-BDF) as well as the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC).
