The civil unrest in the Kingdom of Bahrain since February 14, 2011 has led to the
escalation of violence and numerous incidents of confrontation between security forces,
protesters/rioters and bystanders. Our team was involved in treatment of all maxillofacial
injuries during the unrest period; which includes protesters/rioters, law enforcement
officers, expatriates and bystanders in both the Royal Medical Services of the Bahrain
Defence Force (RMS-BDF) as well as the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC).
