Day case malar fracture reduction—is it safe?

      Introduction: Fractures of the zygomatic-malar complex (ZMC) are common and frequently require surgical reduction. In the UK the patient is usually kept in hospital overnight after ZMC reduction because of a perceived risk of retrobulbar haemorrhage (RBH) which may threaten the sight of the patient.
