These dos and don’ts are intended as a style guide for prospective publications in
the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (BJOMS). All manuscripts submitted
for possible publication in BJOMS will be subject to a technical review and, in most
cases, a statistical review as well before publication. This guide is intended to
facilitate the editorial and proofreading process as much as possible for authors
to avoid unnecessary delays and revisions, thereby ensuring that the manuscript progresses
as quickly as possible from a submitted paper to final publication.
