Disc repositioning to re-establish the relationship of the condylar head with the
fossa is a common step in several temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgical procedures.
Discopexy has been described both as part of an open procedure, and endoscopically.

Multiple techniques and systems such as the Mitek system

(mini anchor, Mitex Products Inc) and Arthrex system

(Arthrex Corkscrew® mini anchor system) have been described. These devices have limitations
in the requirement for specialised equipment and associated cost. Here, a technique
for discopexy is described using standard 1.5mm mandibular screws and PDS (polydioxanone)
