Head and neck cancer, a disease of the elderly, is now becoming more common in the
young due to their lifestyle and habits. With an increasing concern for cosmesis,
it has become essential for clinicians to make use of the best technology and surgical
skills. With minimal-access surgery reaching new heights, robot-assisted neck dissections
(RAND), which allow superior visualisation and fine-motor movements in inaccessible
anatomical spaces, are becoming a reality, and surgeons are reworking approaches to
achieve the best outcomes.
