      Anterior maxillary osteotomy (AMO) was first reported by Cohn-Stock in 1921, and modified methods such those by Wassmund, Cupar, Wunderer, and Epker have been described.

      We have encountered cases of periodontal tissue atrophy (Fig. 1), so we established a novel AMO strategy to further improve blood supply in the periodontal tissues near the osteotomy line.
