The aim of this audit is to investigate the reason for, and the frequency of same-day
cancellations in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department of the Blackpool Victoria
Hospital. This will hopefully provide a greater understanding of why procedures are
cancelled on the day and may allow the implementation of improvements to reduce waiting
times for surgery.
